Our story

Born over
hot coals

Fuego Seoul started in 2019 with a borrowed truck, our grandmother's marinade notebook, and a folding table outside a Highland Park record shop. The line wrapped the block that first night — and it never really shortened.

We're a family crew cooking the food we grew up on: Korean BBQ with smoke and patience, folded into the tortillas of our adopted hometown. No freezers on the truck, no shortcuts on the marinade — the short rib sits overnight, every night.

Seven years later we run three trucks across LA County, but the rule hasn't changed: if we wouldn't serve it at our own table, it doesn't go out the window.

One Plate Forward

Every plate gives one back

For every plate we sell, we fund a hot meal through our neighborhood kitchen partners — no tokens, no fine print, just dinner. Catering orders count double.

  • Weekly community dinners at our commissary on Verdugo Rd.
  • Holiday meal boxes packed by the crew every December.
  • First-job training for young cooks, twice a year.

Covering LA street food? We love to talk. Our kit has photos, the full backstory, and Jae's very strong opinions about tortillas.
